Translators and Linguists

What does it entail to open a translation business ? I am planning to work with a friend translator who has a field experience while I’m not. We both got bachelor degrees in Translation but I didn’t have a chance to land a job as a translator.
How to organize our office ? I mean what is the work cycle to be established ? Are there systems or tools to aid us in the start up of this translation firm ?
Please provide answer from your experience.
