Can any one recommend a good (as in accurate and user-friendly) free language translator program?

try this one it is insanely awesome ^.^

but be sure to only use online translators for like maybe a word or two(not whole sentences or paragraphs) ur having trouble with! they aren’t reliable and u can wind up with the most incorrect answer

oh and btw….whatever you do, don’t use google translate!!!!! it will translate out of order(u know how in diff languages the verbs and adjectives go in diff places in the sentence) and a lot of times it gives a diff word that makes no sense!

All automativ translator software (free or not) will produce crap. Never trust an online translator with a full sentence. As per today, no computer program is able to understand natural language and to translate it accurately. You can easily test this yourself if you let the thing translate the result back to your original language.
Never use online translation for business purposes, you just will make a laughing stock of yourself.

Like a few have already said, ALL online translators are junk. They are very inaccurate and you should never rely on them. A lot of people on here use online translators to answer questions and most of the time they are just completely wrong.
