Does anyone know how to say this in german without using a translator?

-I am climbing near the top of the mountain

Translators are always wrong.. :/

Heavenlea is almost correct, but "top of the mountain" = Bergspitze..

so:

Ich klettere unterhalb der Berspitze. (This is idiomatic tho, means the same you wanted to say and sounds very natural.)
