Hi am an Iraqi refugee I came to the U.S.A in 2009. I worked as a translator for American newspapers in Iraq, and am wondering where can I find translator jobs beside the U.S army. someone advice me to go and apply at the airports. If you have a clue or a trusted website which I should go to, please feel free to reply me with an answer.

The FBI. The CIA. The State Department. The U.N.

What do you think the CIA would pay for an arabic translator?

English to Arabic Translator?

December 2, 2009 - 3:15 am 6 Comments

I’m looking for a free translator on the internet that would translate english to arabic, but here’s the kicker, I’d like for the arabic words to use the english character set. I’ve found a slew of websites that will translate my english into arabic using the arabic characters but I’d like to see what those letters are in english. Am I making any sense? Thanks for any help you can give me.
Google translator is not what I’m looking for. Google translator translates english into arabic using the arabic character set. I need a translator that translates using the english character set.
If you can’t find a translator site (there might not be one like I want) but can translate words for me that would rock. Words I’m looking for arabic translations include:

sun, dawn, light, bright, morning, and brilliant.

Can anyone translate these sentences into arabic, without using an online translator?

November 29, 2009 - 10:01 pm 4 Comments

preferably an arabic speaker etc, as online translators tend to get grammar wrong.

The sentence:

1) Only when we are no longer afraid do we begin to live

AND SECONDLY,

2) i need a really short version of the sentence, symbolising the whole sentence… EG: "fear ends, life begins" or "not afraid, start living" or anything similar, even just using one or two of the words in the sentence.

many thanks

fear ends, life begins=عـندمـا يـنـتـهـي الـخـوف تبـدا الـحـيـاه= indama yantahi al khawf tabda’ al hayat.

Only when we are no longer afraid do we begin to live=
فقط حين لا نظلّ خائفين نبدأ العيش (fakad endama la nazal kha’ifin , nabda’ al hayat)

November 20, 2009 - 6:14 pm 2 Comments

Has anyone seen one of these online?
I dont know the arabic script so I cant use a normal arabic to english translator.. I need a translator that will accept arabic written in the enlish alphabet… like habebe or 7bb

Hello greenpanda,
i have 2 answers for you (good one & bad one) :)
The good news .. there are new transliterate for the special arabic letters written in Anglo-Arab like word [7abebe] = [Habebe] = [حبيبي]
But the transliterate, Convert between [7abebe] to [حبيبي] .. and this is the bad news for you :S sorry
The transliterate:
http://www.google.com/transliterate/arabic
and that transliterate not always give right translate. i tried many words .. and got wrong result in 70% of them.

You won’t find website like that cause that method of written is Chat Language only not official :)
and the Arabic letters not like the English ones.

Whatever, you can ask about the words you want to translate.
You are welcome anytime.
