Anyone knows of an online translator which translates Russian to English but not in the Cyrillic Alphabet?

January 8, 2010 - 3:57 pm No Comments

I would like to know of a free online translation program to translate some phrases from English to Russian (Not cyrillic, but latin Alphabet). Thanks!

you can translate from English to Russian here http://www.perevodslov.ru/onlinep.html

But mark "транслит" and Russian text will be written with latin alphabet. Without "транслит" you’ll see cyrillic alphabet.

ROme is a beautiful city especially when it is sunny outside. It is a very friendly city but the traffic/driving is really bad. The coffee and the icecream is delicious in italy (don’t use delicieux though, i already used it too much… it’s supposed to be 150 word brochure on Rome by the way so if you have anything to add…)

Rome est une ville superbe, surtout quand il fait soleil.C’est une ville sympathique, mais on y circule très mal.Le café et les glaces sont exquis en Italie.

I need some words translated into letters and not characters. All the sites that I’ve been to give me the answer in characters that I cant read!

For typed in text: http://www.excite.co.jp/world/english/
For webpages: http://www.excite.co.jp/world/english/web/

Just make sure to click on 日→英. A friend told me it’s a bit better than Babelfish.

Is there a accurate online Spanish to English, and English to Spanish translator?

regardless of WHERE you go, there will never be a 100% accurate online translation of ANY language. online translators translate literally…word after word. and in some languages, the organization of a sentence is unlike english, meaning the verb might come before the subject or even begin the sentence etc. the same goes for spanish. our adjectives follow our nouns, (ex. el sol bonito > the sun pretty (literal) but really ‘the pretty sun’). online translators may do okay in short, sparse sentences, but extreme translations are a fail. it’s best to go to a native speaker or simply ask for help (if it’s for a class)

Where can I find an English to Russian translator using the Latin alphabet?

January 2, 2010 - 12:21 pm 4 Comments

I need a translator that will take either English or Russian phrases and translate them into Russian with phonetic English letters.

That is to say, I want to give either "You" or "ты" and get "Ti"

I’m assuming you meant transliteration, not translation – here’s a transliteration tool (just type in the RU word)

to listen to the word or phrase in Russian, use this:

what is the best language translator?

January 2, 2010 - 12:21 pm 9 Comments

i need a language translator that could hopefully translate a lot of international languages, and that could accurately translate it in human language. not just some mere word to word translations but document translations.. thanks a lot for the help.. : )
to those who just answered my q’s, thanks for the help i’ll try to folloe those links as well. ;D

Corvus is right – there is NO such thing as a good online translator. Translation requires context and a computer doesn’t know the different between the word ‘fly’ (the insect) or ‘fly’ (on a plane) which results in nonsense translations. Also, word order is almost always wrong so will look ridiculous to a native speaker. Pay someone to do it properly.

Who are the best translators of Hindu texts like the Upanishads and Bhagavad Gita?

I’m looking for the best (in your opinion) translations of Hindu texts like The Upanishads, The Vedas, and The Bhagavad Gita. Thanks in advance!

Bhagvad Gita as it is : this is a book by AC Bhakivedenta Swami Prabhupada

He does the best translation of the Gita. Their are numberous books for the Upanishads and Vedas with translations in English. It all depends on how in depth you want the translations to go
